Prof. Dr. Gordana Kocic, MD, PhD, is a Full professor of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine University of Nis (MFUN) since 2006. She has a Doctorate in Medical sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of Nis since 1993. Since 2013, she has had a subspecialization in molecular biological and immunochemical diagnostics. Professional training completed at the Basel (Switzerland)-based "Lehre und Forshung" Institute. She is the Vice-Dean of Doctoral Academic Studies (DAS), Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Study, and Head of the Department of Biochemistry. She is also a Full Member of the Academy of Medical Sciences Serbian Medical Association (SLD), a Member of the Scientific Council and Secretary of the Nis Branch of the SLD Academy, and a Member of the Assembly of the Innovation Center of the University of Nis since 2019, a member of the University of Nis Senate, General Secretary of the National Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia, and a member of the Scientific-Professional Council of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, as well as an Expert member of the European Commission (EX2023D781390). She took part in the development of 26 doctorate theses that were successfully defended, participating in 21 doctoral theses as a member or chair of the Commission and 5 as a Mentor. She is the Principal Investigator on a Ministry of Science and Science Fund project (IDEAS7750154 NPATPETTMPCB), a participant in international projects NETCHEM (awarded as the best project in the Western Balkans), the Principal Investigator on two international Bilateral projects with Slovenia, and a team member on a bilateral project with Montenegro. She published 156 scientific publications in journals listed on the Journal Citation Report-SCI list, 32 of which fall under the Q1 category. She holds four patents and was recognized in 2010 by Serbia's Ministry of Science as having the award for The Best Technological Innovation. Dr. Vanholder published more than 900 papers, including reviews and book chapters, on adequacy of dialysis, uremic toxicity and various topics related to clinical nephrology. He serves as a member of the editorial review board of several journals and is subject editor of Nephrology Dialysis and Transplantation and Toxins. Up till autumn 2010, he has been chairman of the European Uremic Toxin Work Group (EUTox) and member of the Executive Board and treasurer of Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO). Up till summer 2011 he was chairman of the European Renal Best Practice (ERBP). Up till autumn 2014, he chaired the Renal Disaster Relief Task Force (RDRTF) of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and participated in several international relief operations. Dr. Vanholder was founding president of the Belgian Society of Nephrology (BVN-SBN), is past president of the European Society of Artificial Organs (ESAO) and immediate past president of ERA-EDTA. Goce Spasovski is from N. Macedonia, postgraduated in nephrology at the Un. at the University of Antwerp, Katowice and "Laiko" University Hospital in Athens, PhD at the Universities of Skopje and Antwerp. He was PI in around 20 clinical trials related to progression of CKD (two FP7 projects), anaemia, CKD-MBD and bone biopsy-based studies, immunotolerance in kidney transplant recipients etc. He finished his term as an ERA-EDTA Ordinary Council Member in 2009 and term 2016/19, then he was a Chairman of the Committee for CME activities at ERA-EDTA up to 2013/14, ERBP advisory board member, Co-Chairman of the ERBP hyponatraemia group, member of the ERBP transplant guideline and DESCARTES group. He is also a President of the Macedonian Society of Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation and Artificial Organs, Past President of the Balkan Association of Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation and Artificial Organs, ISBP Board member since 2018, member of the ISN GO Central & East European Committee, EUTox group, the KDIGO Implementation Task Force leader for central and east Europe. His academic opus has more than 500 published articles and book chapters (213 medline cited), 7650 citations and Hirsh index of 41.
Resić is Professor of Internal medicine – nephrology in Sarajevo. Professor Resić studied medicine at the University of Belgrade where she also undertook clinical fellowship in nephrology. She finished her postgraduate studies also at the University of Belgrade in 1987. Professor Resić worked at the Clinical Centre of Belgrade from 1972. to 1992. In 1993. she worked at Marmara University of Istanbul. Also, in the period from 1994. to 1996. she took part in projects for refugees in Munich with the support of the the Ministry of health of city Munich. From 1996. till 2019. professor Resić worked at the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, where she was head of the Clinic of Hemodialysis. In 2001. She obtained her PhD degree in Nephrology. She became a professor at the Medical faculty of the University of Sarajevo in 2013.
Professor Resić published about 180 professional and scientific papers in relevant journals. She has been a president of organizations of few national congress and nephrology schools, and also active participant of ERA congress and WCN congress. She has been also invited lecturer in over 60 different international and national congresses.
Professor Resić was President of BANTAO society (2017-2019), President of Mediterian kidney society. She has been President of the Society of Nephrology, Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2010-2020) and also she is President of Donor’s network of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a member of ERA EDTA and ISN, and also member of Committee of SRC by ISN. She is member of Council of EAPE (European Association of Professor Emerita). She is also vice president of IANUBIH (International Academy of Science and Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina) and member of board South Eastern Europe by ISN.

Elena-Emanuela Rusu MD, PhD is Assistant Professor of Nephrology, "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest and consultant in nephrology, Fundeni Clinical Institute, Bucharest, which is Expert Center for Rare Diseases of the Reno-Urinary System, the only specialized center in Romania, member of the European Reference Network for Rare Kidney Diseases. She defended her Ph. D. Thesis in 2013. Dr. Elena-Emanuela Rusu has a broad experience in nephrological pathologies and is focused on rare diseases of reno-urinary system. She is recognized as a regional expert in rare kidney diseases, especially metabolic nephropathies: Fabry disease and primary hyperoxaluria type I. Her research interest includes genetics of renal diseases, the management of hereditary kidney diseases, the prevention of progression and management of chronic kidney diseases, the cardiovascular and metabolic consequences of kidney diseases. Besides the extensive clinical work, she authored and co-authored many papers published in both national and renowned international journals. She was also project manager or coordinator in national research projects, investigator in 29 international studies. She is the current president and founding member of the Romanian Association for the Study of Hereditary Kidney Diseases. She is member in the Romanian Society of Nephrology, the European Renal Association, the Romanian Society of Cardiology and the Romanian Society of Ultrasonography in Medicine and Biology.
Professor Dr. Belda Dursun is a faculty member and the Section Head of Nephrology in Pamukkale University School of Medicine, Denizli-Turkey. She was graduated from Hacettepe University, Ankara-Turkey, and completed her clinical nephrology fellowship at Akdeniz University, Antalya-Turkey. She later pursued a Nephrology Research Fellowship at the University of Colorado, Denver-USA. She is the founder of Nephrology Department and Director of Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation Units at the Pamukkale University Hospital. Her primary research interests include understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms of acute kidney injury, atherosclerotic complications in chronic kidney disease, as well as treatment of glomerular diseases and kidney transplantation patients. She is actively involved in Turkish Society of Nephrology-Akut Kidney Injury Working Group, Turkish Society of Nephrology Primary Glomerulopathy Working Group (TSN-GOLD), and Renal Disaster Task-Force of Turkish Society of Nephrology. She is also a member of the European Renal Associaton (ERA) and the American Society of Nephrology (ASN). Dr. Dursun has published more than 100 articles and case reports, and authored several medical book chapters. She is currently among the peer reviewers and in the editorial board of several international and national medical journals. She received grants and several national and international awards regarding her studies.

Prof Ali Başçı MD FERA is a highly regarded medical professional with a wealth of educational and academic experience. Born in 1951, Göksun Turkiye , he is married and has three children.
Dr. Başçı's educational journey began at Ege University Medical School,in Izmir where he completed his undergraduate studies from 1968 to 1974. He continued to excel in the medical field by undertaking a residency in Internal Medicine at Ege University Hospital completed in 1980. Dr. Başçı further honed his expertise in Nephrology, successfully completing his Nephrology Fellowship at Ege University Hospital from 1983 to 1986. Additionally, he pursued a Nephrology Research Fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine's Section of Nephrology in New Orleans, LA, USA, from 1984 to 1986.
Throughout his career, Dr. Başçı held several esteemed academic positions. Notably, he served as the Chief of the Nephrology and Dialysis Section at Ege University Hospital from 1984 to 2005. He also contributed to education as an Assistant Professor at Ege University Medical School from 1987 to 1993 and later achieved the distinguished rank of Professor at the same institution, a position he held from 1993 to 2018. Since 2018, he has held the honorary title of Professor Emeritus.
Dr. Başçı's leadership extended to various administrative roles. He chaired the Nephrology Department at Ege University Medical School from 1990 to 2004 and served as the Vice Dean of Ege University Medical School from 1994 to 1997. He also played a crucial role as the Coordinator of the Research Fund at Ege University Medical School from 1996 to 1999. Moreover, he held the prestigious position of Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine Sciences at Ege University Medical School from 2012 to 2014.
Dr. Başçı's contributions to the field of nephrology and related areas are noteworthy. He served as a member of the Turkish Nephrology Society Board from 1988 to 1994 and played a pioneering role in the establishment of the Health Ministry Dialysis Board, serving as a member in years of 90’s . Dr. Başçı was one of founding member and President of the Balkan Nephrology Association (BANTAO) from 1999 to 2001 and has maintained an active role on the BANTAO Board since establishment of Society. . He also served on Council of the European Renal Association-European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA) from 2002 to 2005 and contributed significantly to the development of the ERA-EDTA European Hemodialysis Best Practice Guidelines (EBPG) as a member of the scientific board from 2005 to 2007. He was awarded ‘’Distinguished Fellow of ERA, FERA ‘’ title in 2011. Dr Başçı Notably, he was part of the Health Ministry Kidney Transplantation Board, established for the first time in 2007.
Dr. Başçı's editorial contributions encompass several renowned journals, including Kidney International (1993 -1996) NDT Journal from (2005- 2007), BANTAO Journal (2007- 2010) and Ege Medical Journal (2009- 2017).
Dr. Başçı has authored numerous scientific publications, focusing on nephrology and related fields. Damir Rebić, Ph.D., doctor of medicine, was born in 1970, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb, Croatia. In the period from 1996-1998, he was a scientific associate at the Institute of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb.
From 1998, he worked as a general practitioner in Emergency Medical Services Zagreb and primary health care in Bosanska Krupa, and then in secondary health care - at Bihać Cantonal Hospital, BiH, Department of Urology.
Since 2000, he has been an employee of the Nephrology Clinic of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo. He passed the specialist exam in internal medicine in 2007. He passed the subspecialist exam in Nephrology in 2012.
He completed his doctoral studies in Biomedicine and Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb, Croatia, where he defended his doctoral thesis. Promoted to the academic title of Doctor of medical sciences in 2014. Elected to Assistant Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo in 2014, and to Associate Professor in 2018. From 2023, full professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo. Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Propedeutics of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sarajevo since 2020. Head of the Clinic for Nephrology of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.
Author of several scientific and professional works. Author of 18 professional, university medical books. He is a member and president of the Association of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Transplantation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sena Ulu was born in Afyon (1977) and
graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine. She completed her specialty education at Ankara Training and Research Hospital and Kocatepe University.
She served as the Chair of the Nephrology Department at Kocatepe University between 2016-2021, Chair of the Internal Medicine Department between 2019-2021, Medicine education chief-coordinator and member of Ethics Committee. Much of her work has been on hypertension, diabetes, peritoneal dialysis and clinical nephrology.
She is faculty member at Istanbul Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Nephrology.
In 2020 she was elected for the Editorial Board of Turkish Journal of Nephrology and and Social Media coordinator of TSN. In 2021 she was elected as a Board Member of Turkish Society of Nephrology and TSN Working Groups Coordinator.
